The Sappi Kwa Dukuza Resource Centre is the hub of a myriad of seminars and workshops. Many are funded by businesses like the Murray and Roberts, Nedbank Foundation, Anglo American Chairman’s Fund and D G Murray Trust MST programmes, but the Centre also conducts on-going community projects as part of the Centre budget.
Enrichment classes are conducted for Mathematics, Life Sciences, Physical Science and Accounting for FET curriculum on an ongoing basis. The Centre believes in nurturing Mathematics and Physical Science in learners from a young age thereby strengthening the foundation of learning and improving the outcome achieved upon matriculation.
Teacher Development Programmes are normally held to upgrade non specialist educators or educators that have not taught the subject before. We work with a feedback from schools and superintendents of education in order to set up workshops in various subject fields. The MST Intervention Programmes for learners run the entire year on a weekly basis.
