Since first opening in 2000, the Centre has provided internet access to thousands of people – learners and adults who have flocked here from day one.
The heart of the Centre is its Digital Village, which boasts 35 computers with educational software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, connecting users to the rest of the world via Email and the Internet.
Members of the community make use of the Digital village for various reasons (typing, CVs, researching, chatting, email, etc.) and the overwhelming statistic of over 85% usage in peak times shows the real desire for youth and adults to enrich themselves with knowledge.
The Digital Village is utilized for school computer application technology (CAT) classes in the mornings between 08:30 and 10:00 after which it opens for adult members, and makes way for scholars from 14:00 till closing time at 16:30.
